I am a professional trader who has been speculating for a living since I was 18 years old and have been involved with the stock market since I was 16.

After a series of life changing events at the age of 16 and 17, I began a full year of devoting all of my time to learning how to succeed in the stock market. Three newspaper subscriptions, two internet subscriptions, and over 100 books later I finally found my niche during the roaring markets of 1998-2000.

Being blessed with having learned the CANSLIM system in 1998 and learning how to protect my profits, I avoided losing my profits from the greatest bull market I will probably ever see in my life. Along with that, when the market took a turn for the worse in June 2000, I cashed out, moved from NYC to Maui, and began to operate on the short side. I told everyone then, in chatrooms, message boards, and in NYC that the greatest bull market was over. Little did I know how bad it was going to get.

During that move, I fell in love with Maui. Being away from all the BS on Wall Street, I quickly found out, was much more beneficial to my trading. By being away from all of the noise, I was able to only focus on what the market was telling me; not what Mr. Joe Blow was saying about company ABC.

During the next few years, I picked up surfing and now try to paddle out every day. Surfing requires the exact same aspects as speculating, except there is more physical involved. Being healthy in mind, body, and spirit is very important. In surfing I found the final ingredient that has made me a complete and happy speculator.

After being successful on the short side until 2003, I started to operate on the bull side again. I posted many charts of my longs that produced large gains and started the “Disciplined Trading” club on TCNet. That is when the idea of starting my own site was born by some readers.

After being lazy for a year and a half, I started writing a blog for free on the internet. Since starting the blog, I have been on the right side of every trend that the market has been in since the beginning of my writing, simply by following the price and volume action in the indexes. When the market was moving up, I was long. When the market was moving down, I was short. During this time many stocks made advances from 100%-550%. All of this was done in real-time. Finally a request to start this service was born so that only a select few can benefit from my stock selection, instead of everyone and anyone who will use me to exploit their own financial gains via my hard work.

This is where we are at now. What happens from here is completely unknown. The only thing I am sure of is that this is just the start. I have been involved in the market since I was 16, I am 27 now, and I plan on living (speculating) until I die (should be around 100). So the way I look at it, we have over 70 years to grow together.

I am also happy where I live on Maui and have no want to leave this peaceful place. Being this far away from the noise on Wall Street and main street is what I need. IMO, my life is perfect. I am blessed to have this talent and it would be selfish of me to not try to give this skill to others. If a kid from a broken home and no college education can do this, anyone can.
